Monensin A is an oxygen-containing heterocyclic polyether antibiotic produced by Str. cinnamonensis. It has antibacterial, mycobacterial, fungal and protozoan activity, but it has a weaker effect on gram-negative bacteria and has an inhibitory effect on HeLa cells.

Mureidomycin A is an antibiotic produced by Str. flavidovirens SANK 60486. It has anti-Pseudomonas aeruginosa activity.

In animal experiments, it has inhibitory effect on sarcoma-180, Lewis lung cancer, adenocarcinoma Ca-755, Walker tumor 256, Yoshida sarcoma, Freund ascites tumor, etc. Mycophenolic acid is a potent IMPDH inhibitor and the active metabolite of an immunosuppressive drug, used to prevent rejection in organ transplantation. It inhibits an enzyme needed for the growth of T cells and B cells.

Myxothiazol is an antibiotic produced by Myxococcus fulvus MXfl6. It has activity against filamentous fungi and individual gram-positive bacteria.

Narasin A is a polyether antibiotic produced by Str. aureofaciena NRRL 5758. It has anti-gram-positive bacteria, anaerobic bacteria, mycoplasma and coccidia activity, and also has antiviral effect.

Polymyxin B1 is a cyclic peptide antibiotic of Bacillus polymyxa. The effect of anti-gram-negative bacteria is greater than that of anti-gram-positive bacteria.

Porfiromycin is a quinone antibiotic produced by Str. ardus NRRL 2817. It has anti-Gram-positive and negative bacteria activity. It can inhibit sarcoma-180, Ehrlich ascites carcinoma, L-1210, H leukemia (solid type). The dose of inhibiting KB cell protein synthesis is 0.5 μg/mL. It is a bioreductive DNA alkylating agent that preferentially kills hypoxic tumor cells relative to other aerobic counterparts.
