Description
It is a long-acting, broad-spectrum antibiotic that is in the β-lactam subclass known as carbapenems. It inhibits the synthesis of bacterial cell walls by attaching to penicillin-binding proteins. It has activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
